I can speak for RPMforge ! And while I would like to have newer Gnome 
applications, I think we should leave RHEL5 where it is and look forward 
to the upcoming RHEL6.

It's often unwise (or very complicated) to replace or add newer base 
libraries to enterprise distributions. And as a consequence you will often 
find older (but still useful) applications on RHEL5, RHEL4 or RHEL3.
