[elrepo-devel] Announcement: Updated kmod-nvidia and nvidia-x11-drv packages [256.35] in testing

Announcing the release of updated[1,2] kmod-nvidia and nvidia-x11-drv 
packages to the elrepo testing repository:

These latest packages are built against the RHEL 5.4 series kernel and 
are kABI compatible with RHEL 5.3 - 5.5 series kernels. This release is 
not compatible with older kernel series.

Users are advised to reboot their system after installing this update.

Please provide feedback either here or on the bug tracker.

NOTE: Due to the appearance of a bug in el5.5, *updating* of kmod 
packages is broken within el5.5. When updating, *reinstalling* the 
package after the initial update will fix the issue, so users are 
advised to:

  	yum update kmod-nvidia
  	yum reinstall kmod-nvidia

However, if you already have the latest kmod-nvidia package installed 
(195.36.31-1.el5.elrepo) then this should not be necessary as a fix has 
been ported to these packages (although it won't hurt).
