[elrepo-devel] Announcement: EL5 Updated kmod-r8192se Release (Version 0017.0705.2010)

Announcing the release of updated kmod-r8192se packages in the elrepo
repository:

http://elrepo.org/tiki/kmod-r8192se

This package provides the kernel module for Realtek RTL819x WiFi
cards, version 0017.0705.2010, and is kABI compatible with all kernels
from 5.0 (kernel-2.6.18-8.el5) upwards.

It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of
releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any one
specific build.

NOTE: Due to the appearance of a bug in el5.5, *updating* of kmod
packages is broken with el5.5. To apply this update, users of el5.5
are advised to update as follows. This will then also update the
module-init-tools package (which has had an erroneous upstream patch
reverted):

yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=elrepo-testing update kmod-r8192se

If you have already updated and the package is no longer working,
please reinstall the package:

yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=elrepo-testing reinstall kmod-r8192se
