Howdy,
For our HPC cluster, we would like to get away from the 2.6.x kernel
and move to a kernel in the 3.x line. We like the elrepo community and
the wide number of packages and drivers you support.
For a number of reasons, we can not use the kernel-lt repo which has
linux kernel 3.10. Our checkpointing software[1] does not support
kernel version 3.7 or higher. In addition, our mellanox drivers for
infiniband only support 2.6.x kernel as well as 3.2.
Would it be possible for the kernel-lt project to support Linux Kernel
3.2? According to the kernel.org page[2] it does show it as a LT
kernel being updated till 2016.
I am willing to assist with this project, if needed. If this is something not
feasible within the elrepo kernel repo, would if the elrepo kernel team would
share their complication process with us?
Thanks!
-Adam
