[elrepo-devel] Kernel-lt for EL6 and EL7

Hi ELRepo users/contributors,

There are two points we'd like to discuss with you regarding the
kernel-lt package.

(1) Fairly soon, the linux-3.10.X branch will reach EOL. We need to
decide what we will do with the kernel-lt package for EL6. Chances
are, we will choose a new branch with a sufficiently long support
time-frame and transition to it. The most likely candidate will be
linux-3.18 (EOL: Jan 2017).

(2) Since the release of EL7, we have been providing a kernel-ml
package but not kernel-lt. Should we now consider the provision of a
kernel-lt package for EL7? Perhaps it is still too early and we should
come back and ask in a future?
