[elrepo] Announcement: EL6 Updated kmod-tp_smapi Testing Release [Version 0.40-2]

Announcing the release of an updated kmod-tp_smapi package into the
EL6 elrepo-testing repository:

It has been provided as a result of the following RFE:

This package provides the hdaps, thinkpad_ec & tp_smapi kernel
module(s) for IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads and is kABI compatible with all
kernels from 6.0 (kernel-2.6.32-71.el6) upwards.

It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of
releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any one
specific build.

The following packages are currently syncing to the mirrors:

x86
kmod-tp_smapi-0.40-2.el6.elrepo.i686.rpm

x86_64
kmod-tp_smapi-0.40-2.el6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm

SRPMS
tp_smapi-kmod-0.40-2.el6.elrepo.src.rpm

End user testing of this package (& subsequent feed-back) will be
appreciated and would also speed its eventual promotion to the main
repository.
