[elrepo] Announcement: EL5/EL6 kmod-sata_via drivers available

Announcing the release of kmod-sata_via packages in the EL5 and EL6 
elrepo repositories.

These releases provide an updated sata_via driver that fixes a bug with 
VIA vt6420/vt6421 controllers and some hard disks. For example, see:

The relevant patches are backported from the upstream kernel (2.6.38.5) 
to the RHEL-5.6 and RHEL-6.0 sata_via drivers, respectively.

These releases are built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a 
range of releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any 
one specific build.

You can these updated drivers by:

yum --enablerepo=elrepo install kmod-sata_via
