Announcing the immediate availability of release candidate 7 of the
EL6 kernel-ml and associated packages in the sub-directories of
http://elrepo.org/people/ajb/devel/kernel-ml/el6/

Please note that the packages are deliberately NOT signed and are
still of an unknown quality. I have spent some hours picking over the
"scripts" section of the specification file and hope that it is now
reasonably correct. I would like to thank Akemi Yagi for identifying
my "mishap" and for pointing me in the right direction.

Those victims^Wpersons willing to test these packages are advised of
the open ticket [1] (in case any other "mishap" is noted), otherwise
more general discussions, etc, are welcome here. Feel free to discuss
any points in this thread -- I shall obviously be monitoring the
proceedings but I may not post much, myself.

I would appreciate an independent analysis of the conflicts,
obsoletes, provides or requires for each package, along with any
suggestions how to handle the kernel-ml-firmware package.

I hope all three kernels can be tested standard (32- & 64-bit) and
NONPAE (32-bit). Test running on real iron would be nice but usage of
a VM will also be helpful.

Thank you for helping me to develop these packages.

Alan.
