Fedora and Mandriva SRPMS were used as the basis for packages not
currently included in EL6.
These packages have been built as the result of the following RFE:
http://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=292
xorg-x11-drv-intel contains an Intel integrated graphics video driver
for the Xorg implementation of the X Window System.
Mesa provides 3D drivers and libraries that have been rebuilt for the
latest xorg-x11-drv-intel and libdrm packages.
Video Acceleration API (VAAPI) comprises the libva library and
vaapi-driver-intel, and implements the API pecification. It enables
and provides access to graphics hardware (GPU) acceleration for video
processing. The Intel driver for VAAPI was split and moved into its
own repository (vaapi/intel-driver) with this release.
Cairo is a 2D graphics library designed to provide high-quality
display and print output. Currently supported output targets include
the X Window System, OpenGL (via glitz), in-memory image buffers, and
image files (PDF, PostScript, and SVG). Cairo is designed to produce
consistent output on all output media while taking advantage of
display ardware acceleration when available (e.g. through the X
Render Extension or OpenGL).
Note that libdrm has not been updated to the latest 2.4.37 because it
conflicts with the existing packages (see bug #292 for details).
As some these packages will provide updated versions of packages from
the base EL6 distribution, they will be released from the
elrepo-extras repository.

distribution packages.
End user testing of these packages and feed-back via the mailing list
or bug reporting system will be appreciated.
