[elrepo] Announcement: EL5 Updated kmod-option Release [Version 0.7.1-6]

Announcing the release of updated kmod-option packages into the EL5
elrepo repository:

http://elrepo.org/tiki/kmod-option

It has been patched and rebuilt to provide support for further Huawei
and ZTE devices, as requested in the following RFE:

http://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=239

This package provides the option kernel module, version 0.7.1-6, and
is kABI compatible with all kernels from 5.0 (kernel-2.6.18-8.el5)
upwards.

It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of
releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any one
specific build.

The following files are currently syncing to the mirrors:

x86
kmod-option-0.7.1-6.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm
kmod-option-PAE-0.7.1-6.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm
kmod-option-xen-0.7.1-6.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm

x86_64
kmod-option-0.7.1-6.el5.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
kmod-option-xen-0.7.1-6.el5.elrepo.x86_64.rpm

SRPMS
option-kmod-0.7.1-6.el5.elrepo.src.rpm

You may update your system by:

yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=elrepo update kmod-option

Once the package has been updated, remember to unload the old version
before loading the newer driver into the kernel:

/sbin/modprobe -r option
/sbin/modprobe option
