[elrepo] kmod-nvidia: display not found

Hi All,

This is driving me crazy!

I am running Scientific Linux 6.2 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 clone),
64 bit with Xfce 4.8.

Under 6.1, I was able to run the nvidia-x11-drv from elrepo. As of 6.2 I
no longer can. These are the RPMs I am using:

kmod-nvidia-295.20-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
nvidia-x11-drv-295.20-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
nvidia-x11-drv-32bit-295.20-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm

Note: 275.21 gives the same symptoms: Display not found

When I boot up, the X11 display does not open. From "init 3" and a
reboot, I recorded both the errors when trying to start Xfce
(startxfce4) and Xorg.0.log. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Note the "dracut" mentioned in my black list does not help

Many thanks,
-T
