Rob,

Yes I have VirtualGL installed.

This line is added to my grub.conf "nouveau.modeset=0 rdblacklist=nouveau"
when I installed kmod-nvidia and it does not make a difference on this
laptop regardless.

I think I might re-install CentOS and see if that make any difference. Do
you have a laptop with optimus technology? I have a strong feeling that I
am getting all of these issues because anaconda cannot probe the graphic
card.

That will be great as part as the package.
