Indeed I think you should focus your efforts on EL6 for the kernels. 
Users having showstopper problems with the el5 kernels can always update 
to el6, and I think the community as a whole benefits from you nice 
people not wasting your time and energy on el5 kernels - and saving it 
for the rest ;-)
