Thanks for the relies I got the ATI driver to work after your help. I had the kernel-headers loaded but not the kernel-devel. Once I loaded that the driver from ATI and then did the make the driver works.
Phil, I thought that was the case when I found the driver on it's own.

The term "header" is misleading. You need kernel-devel to build.
