Interesting, libglamoregl.so  loads on the only machine I have tried it 
on so far.

Had to go to System>Preferences>Desktop Effects and deselect Compiz, 
then reselect Compiz to get 3D desktop to work.  Otherwise, no anomalies 
noted so far.
