No, you're not missing anything. In a nutshell, Red Hat have
backported more code from the linux-3.X.Y kernel sources into their
2.6.32-Z.el6.$arch kernel.
Please try with this explicit nosrc.rpm file --
http://elrepo.org/linux/testing/el6/SRPMS/wl-kmod-6_30_223_141-2.el6.elrepo.nosrc.rpm
and let me know the outcome.
