I don't think the issue is memory/disk related. The symptoms I've seen
point towards an issue with kmod-nvidia/Centos 64/my nvidia card (GeForce
GTX675m). If I insert my last good backup disc ( Centos6.3 /
2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.x86_64), I get to X every time.
Currently with kmod-nvidia-310.44-1/2.6.32-358.6.1.el6.x86_64, I
consistently do not get to to X.
After booting to runlevel 3, I've tried running "startx", but the screen
just hangs. Nothing is written to Xorg.0.log. The only indication of an
issue is in the syslog:
...
nvidia: module license 'NVIDIA' taints kernel
loading NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 310.44 Wed Mar 27 14:51:30 PDT
2013
