Devices using the ZyDAS ZD1211 chipset should be supported by the 
zd1211rw kernel driver, although additional firmware is required:

That said, I don't recognize your Vendor:Device id pairing as one 
belonging to a ZD1211 chipset.

Grepping usb.ids tells me its:

1286  Marvell Semiconductor, Inc.
     1fab  88W8338 [Libertas] 802.11g

So it looks more like a Marvell Libertas 88W8338 chipset to me:

What makes you think it's a ZyDAS ZD1211 device?
