I've tested it, it's working, only the led on the adapter is not flashing.

Do you have a link to the relevant Realtek source code, please?

On checking the Realtek 'Downloads' page, it returns an unhelpful
message 'Sorry! There is no data found. Please try another keyword.'
when 'RTL8188EUS' is entered into the 'Download Search' box.
