Hi Everyone,

I am new to CENTOS, and the moment I am facing issues with the Broadcom
wifi drivers. I am following the web-page updated by the community.

http://elrepo.org/tiki/wl-kmod

Here are the details for my machine and wireless card.

[joshis1 at treasure root]$ uname -r
2.6.32-358.18.1.el6.x86_64

[joshis1 at treasure root]$ sudo lspci | grep -i wireless
03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n
Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)

1) So, It is EL6 and 64-bit. BCM 4313.

Now, with the latest broadcom patch available at the
http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php.

First, I get the following error.

[joshis1 at treasure root]$ rpmbuild --rebuild --define 'packager joshis1'
/home/joshis1/Downloads/wl-kmod*nosrc.rpm
Installing
/home/joshis1/Downloads/wl-kmod-5_100_82_112-9.el6.elrepo.nosrc.rpm

This error came because the new broadcom file name is

/home/joshis1/rpmbuild/SOURCES/hybrid-portsrc_x86_64-v5_100_82_112.tar.gz

after renaming it, I get many errors. For example,

[joshis1 at treasure root]$ rpmbuild --rebuild --define 'packager joshis1'
/home/joshis1/Downloads/wl-kmod*nosrc.rpmInstalling
/home/joshis1/Downloads/wl-kmod-5_100_82_112-9.el6.elrepo.nosrc.rpm

Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
