[elrepo] fglrx problem

Hello,

I have a radeon hd 6450 video card, with which I have been using the 
proprietary amd catalyst X driver under Scientific Linux 6.5.  I tried 
to switch to the elrepo fglrx-x11-drv by:

shut down X
sh /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh
yum install fglrx-x11-drv kmod-fglrx
reboot

X then started up apparently normally, but when I tried to start 
firefox, X crashed, with the log file reporting:

Can someone more knowledgeable than I am spot a mistake in what I've 
done, or should I take this to the bugzilla?
