Hello

As I have promised earlier this week, I am offering for testing
purposes the most current version of the fglrx drivers, packaged for
EL7. The packages have been built in the usual elrepo infrastructure
buildsystem but as I am not sure that they are functional ( and , as I
have repeatedly said , I cannot test for myself for the moment ) I have
published them for now via my personal website.
Therefore those who wish to test are invited to download the
relevant packages (at least fglrx-x11-drv-15.9-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
and kmod-fglrx-15.9-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64.rpm ) from
http://wdl.lug.ro/fglrx/ .
Should you encounter an apparent freeze of the X server while it
tries to start up, please
- login in a second, text console;
- use the command
      systemctl restart atieventsd
to kick ATIs daemon ( at least that's what I needed to do back in
Dec, IIRC)
- report your issue including any relevant logs ( if any.. )

I am looking forward for feedback.

     Regards,

         wolfy

PS: the EL6 packages are also built and I have installed them on a test
workstation. However I cannot SEE the result (as in look at the actual
monitors) until Monday because I am not in the same location with the
system. However everything seems fine at the first glance so I will
probably try to push the packages Monday.
