My information is that the stock Adapter driver module had been non-functional in RHEL6 - 
when connected to a DLT/SDLT tape robot, it would go into an infinite loop
negotiating scsi speed and doing scsi resets.

To use the DLT/SDLT robot I have to maintain a RHEL5 machine (with PCI slots).

I think this problem is well documented in (unlooked-at) bug reports in the red hat bugzilla.

So ELREPO should probably package the latest (last?) proprietary driver from Adaptec (?).

I still have the need to read DLT/SDLT tapes, have the PCI SCSI adapters and machines with PCI slots
so if the driver is packaged, I will test it at least against Exabyte/DAT/DLT/SDLT
tape drives (no SCSI disks remaining here, sorry).
