[elrepo] how to get the amd driver working on RHEL 7 ?

, some progress.

I cleaned-up my grub2 configuration and booted the "latest kernel",
still from my second (CentOS in fact)  7 partition,
than I re-installed elrepo's fglrx rpms, checked the grub.cfg file, it
has been patched (radeon removal),
I modified accordingly my "used grub.cfg" file (the one in my first
fglrx-untouched CentOS 7 partition),
and rebooted:

To summarize, X server starts and displays things, BUT Xpointer is not
visible.
