I found the reason and a quick fix for the above mentioned issue.
Reason: ati-config-display relies on a library which, according to
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/Migration_Planning_Guide/sect-Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux-Migration_Planning_Guide-Removed_Packages.html
is no longer available. I will remove the application from the package
since it cannot work any more.
Potential solution: use aticonfig --initial instead ( or aticonfig
--initial=dual-head if you have 2 monitors )
I will test that myself but $vacation and $work will prohibit this from
happening in the next couple of weeks.
