Hi Nick,
I was unable to replicate the issue installing on a RHEL7.2 system, but
I have seen similar warnings on the el7 when updating the kmod-nvidia
package:
http://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=641
So possibly it's only related to package updates and not an initial
install? Maybe confirm by installing an older version, reboot and then
try updating to the latest version.
My guess is it might be related to changes in /sbin/weak-modules
introduced in RHEL7.2 so maybe start by diffing against the previous
version and look at the changes that were made. If you have a reliable
reporoducer, maybe roll back the 'kmod' package in el7 that provides
/sbin/weak-modules and see if that fixes the issue.
