[elrepo] [Non-DoD Source] Re: 390.x nvidia driver packages on RHEL 7.5 (UNCLASSIFIED)

Thanks for the feedback Ray.

To expand, a large number of elrepo kmod packages need rebuilding for
RHEL 7.5 due to kABI changes. We are currently working our way through
that task and releasing them to the testing repository as they get rebuilt.

However, because the rebuilt packages are not backward compatible with
RHEL 7.4 kernels, we've kept them in the testing repository at present
until most users are updating to 7.5 (the majority of our users are
probably CentOS users who are still awaiting the release of 7.5).

Regards,

Phil

I would try rebuilding the driver packages myself, but in the past when I've done that I seem to not be building them correctly, as they only like to work on the kernel I build them on and not subsequent ones (whereas the binaries distributed by this project do typically continue to work).
