I have CentOS 7 installed on a desktop with a BCM5709 ethernet
controller. I am running kernel
4.4.136-1.el7. This card has 4 ports but only the first 2 are
configurable. This appears to be a
bnx2 driver or related firmware issue.
Here is some ouput from lspci:
05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Limited NetXtreme II BCM5709
Gigabit Ethernet (rev 20)
05:00.1 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Limited NetXtreme II BCM5709
Gigabit Ethernet (rev 20)
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Limited NetXtreme II BCM5709
Gigabit Ethernet
06:00.1 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Limited NetXtreme II BCM5709
Gigabit Ethernet
And from dmesg:

>From searching around on the internet it seems like RedHat may have
addressed this very issue
quite a while back by releasing an rpm for a driver "kmod-bnx2". You
have a version of this driver
on elrepo but it appears to be only for kernels used with el6 - not el7.
Can you point me to a solution here? I was thinking about building from
a source rpm.
Also, I was thinking this card may be fully supported by the bnx2 driver
and associated firmware in
some later kernel?
