Hi Dave,
I'm happy to learn things went well for you.
We have a script for creating DUD iso images here:
https://github.com/elrepo/elrepo-scripts/blob/master/mkdd.sh
Just place a kmod binary rpm and its source rpm in a directory and run:
(path to)/mkdd.sh *.x86_64.rpm
