Wolfy,

As a follow up yes moving the /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so file out of the way does resolve the issue, and
/usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/fglrx/libglx.so is what loaded according to Xorg log file. It seems if the Xorg libglx.so file is there, it tries to load it. But given that file is apart of "xorg-x11-server-Xorg" rpm I don't think that is the best route. Is there anyway to blacklist this libglx.so automatically when the package is present or is there some other preferred route?

Roy

On Wed, Nov 4, 2015 at 9:29 AM, Williams, Roy <rwilli95@uncc.edu> wrote:

Wolfy,

I'll give it a whirl here shortly.

Roy

On Wed, Nov 4, 2015 at 9:21 AM, Manuel Wolfshant <wolfy@nobugconsulting.ro> wrote:

On 11/04/2015 03:47 PM, Williams, Roy wrote:
I am pretty sure there is an error here. That's the stock libglx.so getting loaded instead of the the one provided by my package ( /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/fglrx/libglx.so). And I see the same library getting loaded on Dominic's system

Can you please do a test and move /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so out of the way ( rename, move, whatever ) ? And also, can you please verify which library (Xorg's or ATI's) gets loaded on your other systems which worked OK ?
