The path is not wrong. ElRepo's kmods take advantage of the weak
updates mechanism provided by RHEL .The package was built against
RHEL 7.1 hence it's placed in the correct location for the kernels
from that minor RHEL release. Normally you should see a symlink
like this:

[wolfy@Chroot64R7 ~]$ ll
/lib/modules/3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64/weak-updates/ -R
No. It should only prevent Xorg from working
OTOH if the source code from AMD is flaky and does not like the new
kernel.... all I could do is to try to build against the new kernel
and hope for the best. But from the partial stack trace you provided
I see no reference to the fglrx module.
Hello Everyone,

I'm not sure how many have encountered a full
kernel panic but it seems I can't bring my system
up with the kmod-fglrx 15.9-3 it just immediately

Please verify first that
= the new initramfs was generated when you installed
the package
= the new initramfs is correctly referenced from
grub's config

If everything is OK, I'd like to see the full output
that you see at boot time (maybe take a picture of the
screen and use an image pastebin for it ), together
with the output of lspci and ls /boot
