</span>If the dkms/psmouse is not working, then I would at least "dkms<br>
remove..." it (or just uninstall dkms). There is no reason to have<br>
unneeded "junk" cluttering the system or slowing down the boot up.<br>

But I don't see any clear connection between your modprobe error and<br>
dkms/psmouse.<br>

If your system returns:<br>
