<div dir="ltr">Well, we like to keep a little more current than the stock OS kernel, but we also don't like to change kernel versions too frequently. We're not wanting to change kernel versions every year, but every six years is too much, and we're about to the point where we want to move past 4.4. It's not a problem. I will just use the 4.14 packages until they are no longer maintained and then update the spec file+kernel config fileĀ and build my own 4.14 packages for however many years we want to stay on 4.14.
