Hi,

I noticed that the version for ENA is the same as the kernel version rather
than a known version like version: 2.0.3K. Is this done by design?

# ethtool -i eth0
driver: ena
version: *5.7.11-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64*
firmware-version:
expansion-rom-version:
bus-info: 0000:00:05.0
supports-statistics: yes
supports-test: no
supports-eeprom-access: no
supports-register-dump: no
supports-priv-flags: no

vs another system not using Elrepo

# ethtool -i ens5
driver: ena
*version: 2.0.3K*
firmware-version:
expansion-rom-version:
bus-info: 0000:00:05.0
supports-statistics: yes
supports-test: no
supports-eeprom-access: no
supports-register-dump: no
supports-priv-flags: no
Hi,

No it's not done by design, and am not sure why ethtool is picking up
the kernel version instead of the module version.

What version information does 'modinfo ena' show?
