[elrepo-devel] Announcement: Updated kmod-asix testing release

Announcing the release of an updated kmod-asix package in the
elrepo-testing repository:

This package provides an updated asix driver, version 2.6.20-4, which
now supports the Apple, Inc. USB Ethernet adaptor.

It has been provided as a result of an RFE:

and is kABI compatible with all kernels from 5.0 (kernel-2.6.18-8.el5) upwards.

It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of
releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any one
specific build.

NOTE: Due to the appearance of a  bug in el5.5, *updating* of kmod
packages is broken with el5.5. To apply this update, users of el5.5
are advised to first uninstall the old package and then install the
new package:

yum erase kmod-asix
yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=elrepo-testing install kmod-asix

If you have already updated and the package is no longer working,
please uninstall and then reinstall the package.
