I am still having a problem. Strangely cannot catch rpm -ivh xxxx.rpm
errors, whole screenful of them, to disk by redirecting them to a file
using "> file" redirection.
But noticed some things...I am using x86_64 version of the
rpm...kmod-r8168-xen-8.012.00_NAPI-2.el5.elrepo.x86_64.rpm to be
precise and my rpm -q kernel-xen gives kernel-xen-2.6.18-6.el5
Regarding the type of error..am typing in one line here...
kernel(rhel5_mm_ga) = 7575757hhjf686hhfu7t7uufugu6dgt7t8t6giut8tiutu
is needed by kmod-r8168-xen-8.012.00_NAPI-2.el5.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
many lines like the one above, some specific to 64 bit linux. hash
typed above is not from actual error...just something i typed
arbitrarily....was too afraid to read the actual hash and reproduce it
by typing, as redirection had failed.
Comments?
Sanjay.
