[elrepo] Announcement: EL5 Updated kmod-asix testing release

Announcing the release of an updated kmod-asix package in the
elrepo-testing repository:

This package provides an updated asix driver, version 2.6.20-5, which
now supports all the devices as of the asix module contained within
the linux-2.6.35 kernel sources.

It has been provided as a result of an RFE:

http://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=74

and is kABI compatible with all kernels from 5.0 (kernel-2.6.18-8.el5) upwards.

It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of
releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any one
specific build.

NOTE: Due to the appearance of a bug in el5.5, *updating* of kmod
packages is broken with el5.5. To apply this update, users of el5.5
are advised to allow the process to replace the core package,
module-init-tools:

yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=elrepo-testing update kmod-asix

If you have already updated and the package is no longer working,
please reinstall the package:

yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=elrepo-testing reinstall kmod-asix

If *installing* the package for the first time on an el5.5 system:

yum --disablerepo=\* --enablerepo=elrepo-testing install kmod-asix
