Okay, is there anything I can test or just a reboot into the new
kernel with the kmod in place?

I'm not sure I understand your question ... These rpms are from
Digium, but seem old. I have tried to chat with them about the rpms,
but I have got no responce. That is one of the many reason why I
think this hardware kmod should be in EL Repo ...
I have had a problem on one server and that is why I'm think a dump
to the latest source might help, which is seem like it has, but it
compile and not package, which is what I prefer for all the right
reason.
