Hi Richard,

Yes, Red Hat have released an update (which has also propagated down to 
CentOS/Scientific Linux) which fixes the issue in the module-init-tools 
package:

https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2010-0759.html

ELRepo users are advised to update this package from their respective 
distribution repositories.

The ELRepo Project would like to thank Red Hat for fixing this issue.
