Hi Dan,

There are now kmod-r8192cu packages available for EL5 in the
elrepo-testing repository, which are currently syncing to the mirror
sites.

When time permits please install, test and report back your findings.

Assuming that you have configured your system to access the ELRepo
Project's repositories (details on the home page [2]), you can install
the package by --

yum --disablerepo \* --enablerepo elrepo-testing install kmod-r8192cu

Please note that although the packages have the general kmod-r8192cu
name, the actual module within the packages is '8192cu.ko', as a
result of the way Realtek have written the Makefile. This means that
any reference to the module, in your /etc/modprobe.conf file, should
not have an 'r' prefix.

Regards,
Alan.
