Hi Nick, everyone.
I've just pushed the following packages to the el6 testing repository:
http://elrepo.org/linux/testing/el6/
compat-wireless-kmod-3.5-3.el6.elrepo.src.rpm
kmod-compat-wireless-3.5-3.el6.elrepo.i686.rpm
kmod-compat-wireless-3.5-3.el6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
They should show up on the above link (and on the mirrors) shortly.
Please test these and let us know how you get on.
These packages are based on the compat-wireless project backport from
the stable 3.5.3 kernel release and are built by us (elrepo) to support
RHEL6.3.
I've installed the packages on my test machine (you can ignore the
warnings about unknown symbols for older kernels during installation)
and have loaded a few random modules (e.g, b44, iwlwifi) which seem fine
but I don't have any wireless hardware to specifically test.
Please take a look in /var/log/messages and dmesg for hints that things
are working/not working as expected.
You can report back either here or to the bug tracker - I don't mind which.
Good luck and happy testing!
Regards,
Phil
