Look up the Vendor:Device ID pairing (the "fingerprint") for the
problematical NIC. Just execute --

lspci -nn | grep -i net

Now search for the pairing on the DeviceIDs page [1]. If you obtain a
match, then the relevant kmod package will be shown.
