Welcome to the dark side. Exactly this happened to me one year ago and 
that's why I postponed for so long updating the EL7 packages
I never could figure out [ in time, before having to use the test PC for 
something else ] wtf was going on. Sometimes it DID take my conf into 
consideration, sometimes it did not.
