Announcing the release of an updated kmod-tpe package for RHEL 7.4 into
the elrepo repository:

kmod-tpe-2.0.3-4.20170731git.el7_4.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
tpe-kmod-2.0.3-4.20170731git.el7_4.elrepo.src.rpm

kmod-tpe is a kernel module that implements Trusted Path Execution
security features in the RHEL7 kernel. From the project's README[1]:

"Trusted Path Execution is a security feature that denies users from
executing programs that are not owned by root, or are writable. This
closes the door on a whole category of exploits where a malicious user
tries to execute his or her own code to attack the system.

Since this module doesn't use any kind of ACLs, it works out of the box
with no configuration. It isn't complicated to test or deploy to current
production systems. Just install it and you're done!"

More information may be found at the links below.

This release is for use with EL7.4 and is NOT backward compatible with
earlier releases of Enterprise Linux 7. It is recommended that users of
this package update at the same time as updating to EL7.4

Thank you,

The ELRepo Team.
