Well, "many" sounds like a touch of exaggeration. There were 6 changes listed in the 8.4.10 release mail and one of those is for kernel 4.12 changes which wouldn't impact RHEL/CentOS at all since they are using a 3.10 kernel (or 2.6.32 on el6).
