Just so you know, JD, as others have mention, CentOS is more of a Long Term
Linux based system that doesn't always have the latest and greatest of
things.

If you want latest and greatest support, you will be wanting to look at:

Fedora
Ubuntu

The drawback with Fedora and base line Ubuntu is that their versions will
change every year... IE: You should be updating your OS version on at
least a 2 year cycle, as they will abandon support of a version that is 2
years behind.

Ubuntu does have a Long Term Cycle which will only require updating after 4
or 5 years versus a 2 year cycle.

Fedora had just recently introduced in place upgrading since Version 24...
In the past, it was better to rebuild from scratch than try to upgrade in
place.

CentOS, on the other hand, does not go 'latest and greatest' for server
level stability. In production server situations, it tends to be more
difficult to really go to the latest and greatest because you can break
things making changes.
