Indeed. I was recently looking at kmod-nvidia and xen again, and
although the module compiles cleanly against the xen kernel, and will
even load (modprobe) into the kernel, it still hangs the system starting
X. So it's simply a case of not knowing until you actually test the
module with a xen kernel, and unfortunately we simply don't have the
hardware available to fully test every configuration for the vast
majority of drivers we package.
Perhaps another user of kmod-atl1c might be able to verify whether
kmod-atl1c-xen works for them. If we know/can confirm it doesn't work
then we can withdraw the package for xen and save other users waiting
their time.
